Harlow! I'm about to write/record down 4 days worth of thoughts into my dairy here so gear urselves people!
Tuesday 3rd of feb
Had swimming lessons at acsi. Not a bad school. Never said that it was. Such a rich school though. But, the school isn't very clean. haha. There were like a whole group of little boys in the shallower pool. Rachel wuz saying that it was probably the p1's learning how to swim, with much persuasion. There were like so many adults watching their children. Haiz, and i cldn't follow instructions properly during the lesson cuz i was so squeezed in one small space. Hope next week will be better. In addition to that, I had to change back into school uni and the girl's bathroon was so full that ming and i went over to the boy's toilet to change. And i discovered that in the boy's bathroom nothing is covered. Mostly nothing. And there was this little boy there being chowered by his mum. haha. He was shocked when he saw a number of us coming in to change :p and the changing place had so many benches and it stank really really badly. YUCKS! i really really hope that the next time i go for swimming lessons mebe it'll be better. In what way? I dunno.
Wednesday 4th of feb
Went to camp. Arrived and changed outta berms into pe uniform. Pitched tents. Had lunch.
Activity 1: team building games. That was so 'fun'. 'haha'. 'wow' so 'fun'!
Activity 2: river challenge. Had to build this raft that could carry us accross. I was quite lucky we didn't have to do anything and we didn't capsize into the 'peanut-butter' and/or 'milo' river. ewww. but my shoes were filled with water.
Activity 3: nature ramble. This was the WORST and i mean the WORST activity. We had to cross or more likely follow a mangorve swamp upstream by walking in the swamp. I was almost stuck in the swamp and i kept sinking. We did alot of tree damage to the branches overhanging the swamp. We kept reaching out to grab for support and i baged my head on a low tree branch that i actually saw and stupidly didn't avoid. How lame.
Then after these three activities we bathed. It was a public bath and everyone has to bath in front of each otehr. Don't worry we're not that gross. We all wore swimming costumes to bathe :) then we had dinner and then dance practice for the campfire item. Our dance was quite kool, but i didn't learn properly before so i ahd to copy jia min, who copied andita. Finally we went to sleep in our tents.
Thursday 5th of feb
woke up at 6.30. cuz Jia min's clock stopped halfway through the night. I was sweating like crazy. But luckily we sprayed our tent with insect repellant. We had a breakfast of bea hoon and sausauge.
Activity 4: kayaking. This was the most fun activity there! It was so fun trying to steer the kayak properly.
Activity 5: Saint challenge. It was like a dog competition. Kinda like one at least. We had to go through the course.
Activity 6: command and conquer. It was quite uh...ok?
Activity 7: obstacle course. we didn't do it properly cuz it was raining
Activity 8: Rock climbing. We didn't get to do it at all. It was raining. But we learnt how to tie 5 types of knots.
We had campfire after we bathed and ate. We thought we were gonna sleep in the dorms but sadly after the campfire which was a blast, we had to sleep in the multi-purpose hall. Where everyone gathers and scrapes off the sand and mud from their shoes. YUCK! It was bad!
Friday, also today, 6th of feb
We went to strike tents and we were given the easiest task of cleaning the eating area. Only need to sweep the sand with a broom. Haha. other groups had to wash the toilet. I also missed compo class today. I could have gone. Feel really bad not going :( haiz...i wanted to see someone who was gonna be there *secretive smile*
